Nadia Jacob’s early background in Interior Design has evolved into a lifelong infatuation and passion for building and redefining living spaces. Her sense of design, aesthetic and function, was soon complemented by an appreciation for the way concrete is poured and how finishings are perfected. This knowledge and confidence have led to a portfolio of beautiful homes in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, designed under her CR EIGHT banner.
Nadia’s forte and passion is contemporary coastal living. It’s Sydney living at its best. When asked, how she is inspired she said it can start with something as simple as the landscape, or finding the perfect water feature or an area to CR EIGHT a peaceful space for a glass of wine. When it comes to interior design, inspiration can come from one piece of artwork or a chair. This simplicity is then carried through the home’s colour and style.
Nadia laughed as she said “I am guilty of loving the Mademoiselle Chair from Kartel. You may have noticed it in many of the more recent designs, as I am often also commissioned to furnish the home after the build. I enjoy working closely with my clients, to style their homes with beautiful pieces of furniture. Furniture complements great design and underpins the creation of liveable spaces.
Nadia’s interest in Feng Shui started when she was very young. She was introduced to a wise man who took a great liking to her energy. He asked Nadia to make changes to her home, which she did over the next couple of weeks. He then said ‘Well get ready, for you will experience a much happier, healthier and prosperous life’. That wise man turned out to be a Feng Shui Master. We all know Feng Shui is not for everyone, however in Nadia’s experience, when a home is designed and built around positive energy, it becomes a great place to live.
